We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Safety Officer to support the implementation of health and safety standards at construction sites. The candidate will assist senior safety officers in ensuring compliance with HSE regulations, conducting inspections, and promoting a safe work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in implementing site safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and report unsafe acts and conditions.
- Ensure workers use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Support toolbox talks, safety inductions, and awareness programs.
- Assist in accident, incident, and near-miss investigations.
- Monitor housekeeping and site cleanliness.
- Ensure compliance with work permit procedures.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Assist in emergency drills and evacuation procedures.
- Monitor high-risk activities such as work at height, scaffolding, lifting operations, excavation, and electrical work.
- Coordinate with site engineers and supervisors to ensure HSE compliance.
- Report safety observations and recommend corrective actions.
