Software Test Engineer (Manual & Automation Testing)

Location: Delhi (On-site)

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and passionate Software Test Engineer to join our growing technology team. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of software testing principles, excellent analytical skills, and a willingness to learn up-to-date testing methodologies. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of web and enterprise applications through both manual and automation testing.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on enterprise-grade applications built using the Microsoft technology stack and Azure cloud services.

Education

- BCA / MCA
- B.Tech. (Computer Science / Information Technology)
- M.Sc. (IT / Computer Science)
- Or an equivalent qualification

Experience

- Freshers to 1 year of experience
- Internship experience in Software Testing will be an added advantage.

Technical SkillsManual Testing

- Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)
- Knowledge of Functional, Regression, Integration, Smoke, Sanity, System, User Acceptance (UAT), and Compatibility Testing
- Ability to write detailed Test Cases, Test Plans, Test Scenarios, and Bug Reports
- Experience with Defect Life Cycle and Bug Reporting

Automation Testing

- Basic knowledge of Automation Testing concepts
- Familiarity with Selenium WebDriver
- Knowledge of Selenium with C#
- Understanding of TestNG, NUnit, MSTest, or similar testing frameworks
- Knowledge of API Testing using Postman or Swagger
- Understanding of automation frameworks (Data Driven, Keyword Driven, Hybrid, Page Object Model)
- Exposure to CI/CD-based automation testing is an advantage

Roles & Responsibilities

- Analyse Business Requirement Documents (BRD), Functional Requirement Documents (FRD), and Technical Specifications.
- Understand application workflows, user stories, and acceptance criteria before testing.
- Prepare comprehensive Test Plans, Test Cases, and Test Scenarios.
- Estimate testing efforts and communicate resource requirements to the Test Lead.
- Execute Manual Test Cases across multiple browsers, devices, and environments.
- Identify, reproduce, document, and track software defects with appropriate severity and priority.
- Perform Smoke, Sanity, Functional, Regression, Integration, System, and UAT testing.
- Convert business use cases into effective testing scenarios.
- Create and maintain regression test suites.
- Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and Project Managers.
- Develop and maintain Automation Test Scripts using Selenium with C#.
- Execute automation suites and analyse execution reports.
- Perform API Testing using Postman or similar tools.




- Validate SQL Server databases using SQL queries and stored procedures.
- Support application testing on Azure-hosted environments.
- Assist in Azure DevOps Pipelines for automated test execution.
- Maintain accurate test documentation and generate test execution reports.
- Ensure software quality meets functional and non-functional requirements.
- Continuously improve testing processes and recommend quality improvements.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
