Job Summary
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure smooth plant operations. The candidate should possess an ITI certification in a relevant trade and follow all safety standards while performing maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose faults and repair mechanical, electrical, or pneumatic systems.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify potential issues.
- Maintain maintenance logs and service records.
- Replace defective parts and components as required.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
- Assist in installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Coordinate with production teams to minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain housekeeping in the maintenance area.
Qualifications
- ITI Certificate in Electrician, Fitter, Mechanical, Electrical, or related trade.
- 1–3 years of maintenance experience preferred.
- Fresh ITI candidates may also apply.
Required Skills
- Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
- Ability to read technical drawings and manuals.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts when required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance.
- Basic knowledge of PLCs, motors, pumps, compressors, and industrial equipment.
Working Conditions
- Factory/Plant setting.
- May require shift work, overtime, and emergency maintenance support.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
