- Maintaining a safe environment: Overseeing the safe use of equipment, scheduling regular maintenance, and implementing emergency response procedures
- Quality control: Verifying production output against specifications, and ensuring compliance with quality standards
- Communicating: Communicating expectations to employees, and providing management with updates
- Problem solving: Detecting issues in efficiency and suggesting improvements, and troubleshooting issues with equipment or machinery
