E&I; Design Engineer

Job Summary

Plant Engtech Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and highly motivated E&I; Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, engineering, and execution of Electrical & Instrumentation systems for industrial projects while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare electrical and instrumentation design documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Develop:
- Single Line Diagrams (SLD)
- Cable Schedules
- Cable Tray Layouts
- Earthing & Lightning Protection Layouts
- Instrument Hook-up Drawings
- Instrument Index and I/O Lists
- Review and interpret client specifications, datasheets, and engineering standards.
- Selection and sizing of electrical equipment, cables, transformers, panels, and instruments.
- Prepare BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and material requisitions.
- Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Civil, and Piping disciplines.
- Support procurement activities through technical bid evaluations and vendor document reviews.
- Ensure compliance with IEC, IS, NEC, and other applicable standards.
- Provide engineering support during project execution, commissioning,



and start-up activities.
- Participate in design reviews, HAZOP meetings, and client discussions.

Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of industrial Electrical & Instrumentation systems.
- Experience in engineering consultancy, EPC, chemical, oil & gas, power, water treatment, or manufacturing projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and related engineering software.
- Knowledge of PLC, DCS, SCADA, and field instrumentation.
- Familiarity with cable sizing, load calculations, and instrument selection.
- Good communication and project coordination skills.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent.
- 6 to 10 years of relevant experience in E&I; design and engineering.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in EPC projects.
- Knowledge of international engineering standards.
- Exposure to site commissioning and troubleshooting activities.
