Job Costing & Budgeting: Collaborate with project managers to create detailed budgets; track labor, material, and overhead costs to prevent budget overruns
Invoicing & Billing: Handle accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR), including managing supplier contracts, subcontractor payments, and progress billing
Cash Flow Management: Forecast financial needs for ongoing and future construction projects to maintain optimal liquidity
Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly and yearly financial statements, including profit and loss (P&L;), Work-In-Progress (WIP) reports, and balance sheets
Compliance & Audits: Ensure all financial activities strictly comply with statutory and regulatory standards (e.g., GAAP, local tax regulations)
Team Leadership: Supervise the accounting team, streamline accounting processes, and review work for accuracy and compliance
Requirements
Education:
A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (or relevant certifications like CA, CPA, or CMA)
Experience: 10 - 25 years of progressive accounting or finance experience. Tenure in the real estate or construction sector/ trading/ logistics company will be added advantage
Technical Skills: Proficiency in advanced Excel and construction management or accounting software
Soft Skills: Strong analytical capabilities, impeccable attention to detail, and the ability to communicate financial data clearly to non-financial stakeholders
