We are looking for a detail-oriented and dependable Accountant to manage our financial records and ensure statutory compliance.
Job Summary
The Accountant will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely statutory compliance and coordinating with the Chartered Accountant for GST, TDS and other financial matters. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting knowledge, attention to detail and experience in handling manufacturing accounts.
Key Responsibilities
- Record and maintain all day-to-day accounting transactions accurately.
- Prepare and post sales, purchase, payment, receipt, journal and contra entries.
- Maintain cash book, bank book and general ledger.
- Perform bank reconciliations and reconcile supplier and customer accounts.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and management statements.
- Prepare working papers and schedules for monthly and annual financial closing.
- Prepare and submit GST filing for GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B
- Prepare TDS calculations,
ensure timely payment of TDS and submit TDS return workings to the Chartered Accountant.
- Maintain proper documentation for GST, TDS, invoices, vouchers and statutory records.
- Coordinate with the Chartered Accountant during audits, assessments and statutory filings.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, taxation laws and company policies.
- Perform other finance and accounting duties assigned by the management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Commerce (B.Com). M.Com or CA Inter will be an added advantage.
- 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing industry.
- Experience in GST compliance is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of accounting principles and statutory requirements.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of GST and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to meet statutory deadlines with minimal supervision.
