As we continue to grow, we're expanding our retail experience with a thoughtfully curated in-store café that reflects the warmth, hospitality, and attention to detail our brand is known for. We're looking for a passionate Barista to join us and help create a welcoming café experience.

Job Description & Role

As a Barista at Modest Essentials, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality coffee and beverages while delivering exceptional customer service. You'll play an important role in creating a calm, welcoming, and memorable café experience that complements our retail environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare high-quality coffees, matchas, and signature fusion beverages with consistency and attention to detail.
- Maintain quality, consistency, and presentation of every drink served.
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service.
- Keep the coffee station, equipment, and café area clean and well organised.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment requirements.
- Follow food safety, hygiene,



and sanitation standards at all times.
- Operate and maintain espresso machines, grinders, and café equipment.
- Handle customer orders and payments accurately.
- Assist in improving café operations and enhancing the overall customer experience.
- Work collaboratively with the retail team to ensure a seamless customer journey.

Requirements

- Previous experience as a Barista or in a café environment is preferred.
- Passion for coffee and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
- Friendly, well-groomed, and qualified personality.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn and continuously improve coffee knowledge and techniques.
- Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
- Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and retail operating hours.
- Candidates based in Mumbai will be preferred.
