Job Summary

The Cath Lab Scrub Nurse will assist cardiologists and the Cath Lab team during diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures. The role requires maintaining a sterile setting, preparing instruments and consumables, ensuring patient safety, and supporting the team in delivering high-quality cardiac care.

Key Responsibilities

* Prepare the Cath Lab for diagnostic and interventional procedures.

* Scrub and assist during coronary angiography, coronary angioplasty (PCI/PTCA), temporary and permanent pacemaker implantation, peripheral interventions, and other cardiac procedures.

* Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection prevention protocols.

* Prepare, arrange, and manage catheters, guidewires, balloons, stents, and other Cath Lab consumables.

* Assist in patient preparation, positioning, and monitoring before, during, and after procedures.

* Ensure the availability and functionality of all Cath Lab equipment before each procedure.

* Accurately document nursing care and procedure records.





* Monitor inventory and coordinate with the stores/pharmacy for Cath Lab supplies.

* Adhere to NABH standards, radiation safety guidelines, infection control policies, and hospital protocols.

* Participate in emergency cardiac procedures, Code Blue responses, and continuous quality improvement activities.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification

* GNM / B.Sc. Nursing / Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing

* Valid State Nursing Council Registration

Experience

* Minimum 2 years of experience as a Cath Lab Scrub Nurse.

* Experience in coronary angiography, PTCA/PCI, pacemaker implantation, and peripheral interventions is preferred.

Skills

* Strong knowledge of Cath Lab procedures and sterile techniques.

* Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

* Ability to perform efficiently in emergency situations.

* Knowledge of infection control practices and NABH standards.

* Basic computer documentation skills.

Preferred Certifications

* BLS – Mandatory

* ACLS – Preferred

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
