Job Summary:

The Area Credit Manager - Housing Finance will be responsible for overseeing and managing all credit operations within a designated geographical area, ensuring adherence to credit policies, risk management frameworks, and regulatory guidelines. This role involves leading a team of credit officers, evaluating loan applications, maintaining portfolio quality, and supporting business growth while mitigating credit risks effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of credit officers and executives within the assigned area, ensuring high performance and adherence to company policies.
- Oversee the entire credit appraisal and underwriting process for housing loan applications, ensuring thorough due diligence, risk assessment, and compliance with internal and external norms.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of loan applications, maintaining high standards of service delivery to customers and sales teams.
- Monitor and control the credit portfolio quality for the area,



proactively identifying and addressing potential risks and delinquencies.
- Implement and enforce credit policies, procedures, and risk management strategies to minimize NPAs and maintain a healthy portfolio.
- Conduct regular market analysis to understand local economic conditions, property trends, and competitive landscape to inform credit decisions.
- Collaborate closely with sales and business development teams to achieve business targets while maintaining credit quality and risk parameters.
- Ensure strict compliance with all regulatory requirements, internal policies, and audit observations related to housing finance operations.
- Prepare and present credit reports, portfolio performance analyses, and risk assessments to senior management.
- Handle customer escalations and complex credit cases, providing timely and effective resolutions.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in credit processes and operational efficiency within the area.
