Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the Distillery/Ethanol industry. The candidate will be responsible for maintenance, reliability, and operation of mechanical equipment to ensure maximum plant availability, safety, and production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

· Plan and execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.

· Maintain rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, gearboxes, agitators, blowers, and conveyors.

· Monitor the performance of boilers, turbines, cooling towers, heat exchangers, evaporators, and distillation equipment.

· Perform root cause analysis (RCA) of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.

· Ensure compliance with safety procedures, and statutory regulations.

· Develop maintenance schedules and ensure timely execution.

· Manage maintenance shutdowns and annual overhauls.

· Coordinate with production, utilities teams to minimize downtime.

· Monitor equipment health through vibration analysis, lubrication management, and condition monitoring.

· Control maintenance costs and optimize spare parts inventory.





· Supervise contractors and maintenance technicians during shutdowns and projects.

· Prepare maintenance reports, equipment history, and KPI dashboards

Required Skills

· Robust knowledge of distillery process equipment.

· Expertise in centrifugal pumps, compressors, gearboxes, and mechanical seals.

· Knowledge of steam systems, boilers, condensate systems, and utilities.

· Experience in troubleshooting rotating equipment.

· Familiarity with predictive maintenance techniques.

·· Ability to read P&IDs;, GA drawings, and mechanical drawings.

· Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

· Minimum 8+ years of experience in a Distillery/Ethanol plant (mandatory).

Experience in continuous process industries is preferred.
