Job Summary

For our HVAC Contracting company, we are looking for a seasoned and goal-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement department. The ideal applicant should be well-versed in supply chain coordination, cost optimization, strategic procurement, vendor management, and sourcing HVAC components.

Key Responsibilities

Create and put into action procurement strategies that support corporate goals.

1. Oversee the complete acquisition of HVAC supplies, such as compressors, fans and motors, AHUs, copper tubes and coils, electrical components, insulation materials, GI sheets and structural steel, filters, dampers, valves, and HVAC accessories.

2. Find, assess, negotiate, and cultivate current suppliers.

2.Establish and preserve a solid rapport with current suppliers.

3.Discuss prices, conditions of payment, delivery dates, and yearly agreements. Keep an eye on inventory levels and communicate with the departments of planning, design, and stores, avoid delivery delays

4. Determine opportunities for value engineering and cost reduction by doing cost analysis.

5. Examine contracts, vendor agreements, and purchase orders.

6. Utilize quality, delivery, and service metrics to monitor supplier performance.



Proactively address material shortages and supply chain problems.

7. Create buy budgets, savings reports, MIS, and procurement reports for management.

8. To increase productivity and performance, guide and mentor the purchasing team.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of HVAC products, raw materials, and procurement processes.
- Excellent vendor negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong understanding of supply chain and inventory management.
- Commercial and analytical mindset.
- Cost reduction and strategic sourcing expertise.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and procurement reporting.

Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- Experience in HVAC Contracting Industry
