About the Role

Waveline Sports operates the Michael Phelps Swimming Program across 30+ centres in India. We are looking for alert, disciplined Lifeguards to ensure the safety of swimmers at our [City] facility. This is a safety-critical role — you are the first and last line of defence on the pool deck.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain constant, active surveillance of assigned pool zone during all operating hours — no phone, no distractions, eyes on water
- Enforce pool rules, batch capacity limits, and deep-end entry restrictions
- Respond immediately to any emergency: rescue, first aid, CPR, and escalation as per centre emergency protocol
- Conduct pre-opening safety checks — water clarity, depth markings, rescue equipment, first aid kit, signage
- Assist Head Coach with batch entry/exit control and lap-test screening
- Maintain daily incident, near-miss, and equipment logs
- Support basic pool housekeeping and maintain a clean, hazard-free deck
- Participate in monthly emergency drills and safety refresher training

Requirements





- Valid Lifeguard certification (Indian Lifesaving Society / RLSS / YMCA / equivalent) — mandatory
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Strong swimming ability: must clear a 200m continuous swim and a deep-water rescue test
- Minimum 12th pass
- Physically fit, alert, and able to remain standing/scanning for extended shifts
- Transparent communication in Hindi/Marathi and basic English
- Prior lifeguarding experience at a pool, club, or resort preferred (freshers with valid certification may apply)

Shift & Schedule

- 8-hour rotational shifts, 6 days a week
- Early morning and evening shifts (pool operating hours: 5:30 AM – 9:00 PM)
- Weekend availability required
