(6 – 8 Years)
Role Summary:
Lead the product vision and execution for a live B2B technology platform by owning the product roadmap, prioritizing high-impact initiatives, and driving the delivery of scalable, customer-centric solutions. Partner closely with engineering, design, and stakeholders to define product requirements, create detailed product specifications, and oversee implementation through to successful release, while leveraging technical expertise to understand the codebase and contribute to minor enhancements. Establish solid product management practices through data-driven prioritization, customer discovery, quality governance, and continuous product validation. Champion AI-driven product innovation by defining feature strategies, evaluation frameworks, and governance for intelligent capabilities, while monitoring market trends, competitive developments, and emerging technologies to ensure the product remains innovative, reliable, and aligned with business objectives.
Mandatory Skill Sets:
- 6 – 8 years of product experience, with at least 3 years on a B2B SaaS product sold to US customers
Lived the 0
- 1 journey at a startup – should have built something from early product-market fit chaos to a working, growing platform
- Shipped AI or AI-adjacent features in production — not prototypes, not demos; real users, real data
- Technical enough to read code, reason about architecture, and hold engineering conversations without hand-holding
- Extreme ownership mentality: you don’t wait for permission, you don’t leave tickets open, you don’t ship something you don’t understand
- Ultra-organised: you can manage 50 open tickets,
3 competing priorities, and an urgent customer escalation without dropping the ball
Key Attributes:
- Experience with B2B tech platforms or, compliance, security, or GRC products (a head start, not a must)
- Comfortable reading and writing code — can pick up an existing codebase, understand how it’s structured, and push minor features or fixes without needing to hand everything to an engineer
- Has worked with or led a team through a product overhaul on a live, production platform with real users
- Aspires to become a Director of Product within the next 2 years and wants to earn that by building, not by waiting
Roles & Responsibilities:
Own the Roadmap:
Strong Indicator of Fit
- Experience with B2B tech platforms or, compliance, security, or GRC products (a head start, not a must)
- Comfortable reading and writing code — can pick up an existing codebase, understand how it’s structured, and push minor features or fixes without needing to hand everything to an engineer
- Has worked with or led a team through a product overhaul on a live, production platform with real users
- Aspires to become a Director of Product within the next 2 years and wants to earn that by building, not by waiting
- Maintain a prioritised,
clearly reasoned backlog — every ticket has a ‘why’ tied to user value or business outcome
- Make scope decisions ruthlessly; cut 40% to execute 60% at high quality
- Track industry changes, trends and competitive moves on a live basis
Drive Engineering to Ship Right
- Write PRDs that include wireframes, test cases, and explicit success criteria — no ambiguity handed to engineers. This will also include working prototypes using vibe coding
- Get into the codebase and the existing repo; read code, understand constraints, and contribute to minor fixes
- Participate in daily standups (morning focus, evening wrap), review Jira hygiene, track progress, work with stakeholders, escalate and enforce quality gates
- No feature ships without you understanding the implementation details and test coverage
Establish Product Discipline
- Sit with the customers and internal stakeholders on a rotating schedule — two people per week, document every friction point
- Run bi-weekly ‘break the product’ sessions where the team stress-tests flows and logs findings to Jira
- Ensure product tools like Sentry, LogRocket, and PostHog are properly instrumented and that every engineer owns their own alerts
Lead AI Features
- Drive the product side of GORICO’s AI capabilities – knowledgebase, evidence validation, AI reviews, and the observability + evaluation layer
- Write clear AI feature specs that distinguish guardrails, evaluation criteria, and expected output
- Contribute to AI feature strategy with external experts
