About the position

Goal: The NPE Global Engineering Hub India (NPE GEH) serves as the central engineering hub for the NPE Division, supporting all NPE entities with skilled, flexible, and diverse engineering resources. Our experienced team brings broad technical capability and collaborates closely with entities to support, enhance, and accelerate engineering activities. THE POSITION - General Definition • To provide automation and electrical engineering capabilities To assist in the preparation and presentation of tenders and proposals, and delivery of projects. • Upon securing a contract / order the engineer (depending upon the size and complexity of the project) may be required to operate independently or as part of a project team to design, supply, install, commission and document the project.

Your responsibilities and tasks

Role & Responsibilities:

- Software Development - PLC, SCADA, HMI
- Software FAT / SAT
- FDS Review / Write Up
- Various Document Preparation
- Remote Site Support
- On Site Commissioning
- Technical Lead for Projects
- Multi-Project Management
- Mentoring Junior / Associate Engineers

Tasks:

- Software Logic Development in Siemens with GEA Standard
- HMI / SCADA Screen Development in Siemens with GEA Standard
- Review FDS and develop program with GEA standard
- Prepare Documentation like Alarm & Interlock list, User Access Specification, HMI Instruction etc.
- Participate in FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ by following Protocol with reporting

Your profile and qualifications

Work Experience:

- Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Instrumentation & Controls, Electrical, Electronics or similar education background
- 5-8 Years




- Experience in Pharma, Chemical, Dairy, or Food industries.

Skills:

- Strong hands-on experience in Siemens TIA Portal, PLC, HMI, SCADA programming.
- Knowledge of SCL, LAD, FBD, STL and ISA-88 (S88) standards.
- Ability to read and understand P&IDs;, electrical drawings, and instrumentation systems.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of GMP, GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11, and documentation practices.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Exposure to Rockwell, Schneider, AVEVA, or other automation platforms.
- Knowledge of ATEX, SQL Database, VMware/ESXi, and Client-Server architectures.
- Basic knowledge on Electrical drawings reading and components identification.
- Self-Learning Capability

Other Qualifications:

- Computer literacy with Outlook & Teams.




- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
- Virtual Machine, VMWare Workstation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft SQL database is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical directives and standards is preferred.

Overview:

- Basic understanding of Mechanical Engineering.
- Good understanding of Electrical Components.
- Good understanding of Process Instruments.
- Good understanding of Automation Programming Software.
- Industrial Process knowhow in Chemical & Pharma, Dairy, Food.
- Exposure to above mentioned Industries and strong contacts in these industries.
- Ability to manage both internal and external resources within a project team environment.
- Demonstrate problem solving capabilities.

Travel Requirements:

- The Engineer would be based in Vadodara, India office

Approximately 40% travel for commissioning and project support within India and abroad.
