Duties and responsibilities

The candidate will assist attorneys in the clearance and prosecution of Indian and foreign trademark applications.

Will be responsible for handling all aspects of trademark applications, including filings with the Indian Trademarks Office; performing preliminary trademark searches, drafting legal correspondences etc.

Updating and maintaining daily dockets for clients and following up on trademark application filings, prosecution, etc. with clients

Updating software databases, formulating and sending emails with clients/attorneys

Managing effective and on-time project delivery with a high standard of quality

Client management

Should be able to independently maintain trackers of all projects, as allocated and instructed by the supervisor(s)

Qualifications

Skill Set Requirements





Proficiency in computerized docketing systems and MS Office

Basic understanding of the Trademarks Act, 1999

Basic knowledge in preparing and filing Trademarks applications according to client instructions.

Basic understanding of the Copyrights Act, 1957 and prior experience in copyright application filings is not mandatory but would be preferable.

Strong email communication skills to acknowledge client emails when required.

Sincere and responsible attitude and ability to complete work in a timely manner.

Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines with minimum supervision.

Education and Experience

Under Graduate (UG) or Graduate

2 to 5 years of experience as a Trademark Paralegal
