- Translate customer needs and market trends into technical specifications for chassis features.
- Engage in discussions with OEMs to align and finalize technical requirements.
- Oversee the development and validation of chassis control systems.
- Collaborate with engineering, software, vehicle integration, and manufacturing teams to ensure system-level performance and quality.
Required Skill Set:
- In-depth knowledge of chassis systems, including suspension, steering, braking, and vehicle dynamics.
- Expertise in the architecture and integration of chassis control systems such as ABS, ESC, active suspension, and steer-by-wire.
- Experience in modeling, simulation, and validation of chassis systems using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, CarSim, or Adams.
- Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics, ride and handling characteristics,
and their impact on safety and performance.
- Hands-on experience in tuning and calibration of chassis control algorithms for a variety of driving conditions.
- Familiarity with system-level testing methodologies including HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop), SIL (Software-in-the-Loop), and vehicle-level validation.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262 functional safety and automotive cybersecurity standards relevant to chassis systems.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including hardware, software, and test engineering across global locations.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively with interdisciplinary teams in different geographies.
