Job Summary

Apple Hospital, a 200-bedded NABH Accredited Multi-Speciality Hospital in Indore, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Endoscopy Technician to join our Gastroenterology Department. The ideal candidate will assist gastroenterologists during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures while ensuring patient safety, equipment readiness, and adherence to infection control protocols.

Key Responsibilities

- Prepare and set up the endoscopy procedure room and equipment before procedures.
- Assist consultants during Upper GI Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, and other endoscopic procedures.
- Handle endoscopy accessories, collect biopsy specimens, and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
- Clean, disinfect, and store endoscopes according to hospital and infection control protocols.
- Perform leak testing and routine maintenance checks on endoscopy equipment.
- Maintain inventory of endoscopy instruments, consumables, and accessories.
- Ensure compliance with NABH standards, biomedical waste management, and patient safety guidelines.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, CSSD,



and Biomedical Engineering for smooth functioning of the Endoscopy Unit.

Qualifications

- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Operation Theatre Technology (OTT), Endoscopy Technology, or a related Allied Health Science discipline.

Experience

- 1–3 years of experience as an Endoscopy Technician in a hospital.
- Experience in a NABH-accredited hospital will be preferred.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of endoscopy equipment and accessories.
- Understanding of sterilization, high-level disinfection, and infection control practices.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Basic documentation and inventory management skills.
