Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Senior Application Engineer with 8–12 years of experience in the mechanical industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing technical solutions, leading application engineering activities, preparing techno-commercial proposals, supporting key customer engagements, and collaborating with sales, design, manufacturing, and project teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions. The role requires solid technical expertise, commercial acumen, and the ability to manage complex customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities

- Analyze customer requirements and recommend optimized mechanical solutions aligned with technical and commercial objectives.
- Lead application engineering activities for complex projects, including product selection, sizing, engineering calculations, and technical evaluations.
- Prepare and review techno-commercial proposals, quotations, compliance statements, and bid documentation.
- Review customer specifications, engineering drawings, P&IDs;, and project documents to ensure technical compliance.
- Provide technical support to sales teams during customer meetings, technical presentations, and product demonstrations.
- Coordinate with design, manufacturing, procurement, quality, and project teams to ensure timely project execution.
- Support installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of products at customer sites when required.
- Develop technical documentation, application notes, product manuals, and engineering reports.
- Identify opportunities for product improvements and provide technical feedback to R&D; and product management teams.
- Mentor junior application engineers and support technical capability development within the team.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, company quality procedures, and customer specifications.




- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, consultants, and channel partners.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's degree is an added advantage).
- 8–12 years of experience in Application Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Support, or Design Engineering within the mechanical industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and industrial equipment.
- Experience in preparing technical proposals, engineering calculations, and product sizing.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, or Autodesk Inventor.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs;, GA drawings, and technical specifications.
- Experience working with ERP and CRM systems.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and customer relationship management skills.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits, project discussions, and site support.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with industrial products such as pumps, valves, compressors, gearboxes, bearings, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, or process equipment.
- Knowledge of ISO standards, ASME, API, or other relevant engineering codes and standards.
- Exposure to EPC projects, OEM customers, or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities.
- Leadership experience in mentoring engineers and coordinating cross-functional teams.

Pay: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,500,000.00 per year
