Position Title : Mechanical Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Mechanical Engineer to oversee and support the manufacturing operations of steel structures. The candidate will be responsible for production planning, quality control, process improvement, equipment maintenance coordination, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The role requires close coordination with production, quality, design, and project teams to ensure timely and effective fabrication of steel components.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Manufacturing

- Monitor and supervise daily manufacturing activities in the steel fabrication facility.
- Ensure production targets are achieved as per project schedules.
- Optimize manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce waste.
- Coordinate with production supervisors and shop-floor personnel for smooth operations.
- Review fabrication drawings and ensure compliance during production.

Quality Control

- Ensure manufactured products meet project specifications and quality standards.
- Coordinate inspections and quality checks during various stages of fabrication.
- Identify production defects and implement corrective actions.
- Support quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.

Equipment & Maintenance

- Monitor the performance of factory machinery and fabrication equipment.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Assist in troubleshooting mechanical issues affecting production.

Planning & Coordination

- Coordinate with procurement for material requirements and inventory management.




- Prepare production reports and progress updates.
- Liaise with design, project, and quality departments to ensure seamless workflow.
- Monitor resource utilization, including manpower and machinery.

Health, Safety & Compliance

- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and industry regulations.
- Promote safe work practices across the factory.
- Participate in safety inspections and risk assessments.
- Report and investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Freshers or candidates with relevant industry experience may apply.
- Experience in steel structure fabrication, manufacturing, or heavy engineering industries is preferred.

Mechanical Engineer

- 2–5 years of experience in steel fabrication, structural manufacturing, or related industries.

Senior Mechanical Engineer

- 5+ years of experience in steel structure manufacturing and production management.

Required Skills

- Knowledge of steel fabrication processes and manufacturing techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication and engineering drawings.
- Understanding of welding, cutting, assembly, and finishing processes.
- Familiarity with production planning and quality control procedures.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and industrial standards.
- Proficiency in MS Office and engineering software.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and team management abilities.
