Job Description for Lidar Expert

Desirables:

· Ability to understand Maps, images and & identify the geographic location.

· Positive Knowledge of GIS software, Auto CAD, Computers & Internet usage.

· Good Knowledge of Lidar software (Agisoft).

· Perform orthomosaic generation, Digital Elevation Model (DEM) creation, and point cloud classification.

· photogrammetric techniques to generate accurate 3D models and terrain reconstructions.

· Preferable hands-on experience in georeferencing, digitization, managing & creating GIS data

· Good communication skills-Verbal & Written

· Enthusiasm to learn, work & strengthen career in the field of GIS.

· Operate and maintain LiDAR sensors (airborne, terrestrial, or mobile).

· Filter, classify, and extract relevant features from LiDAR datasets.

· Work with GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS, and Global Mapper) to analyze and visualize LiDAR-derived geospatial data.

· Integrate LiDAR data with remote sensing imagery for land classification and mapping applications.





· Conduct ground truth validation and error analysis of LiDAR datasets.

· Ensure data accuracy through cross-validation with survey control points.

· Knowledge of multispectral and hyperspectral data processing.

). Software Application:

· Hands-on exposer of software - Arc GIS, QGIS, Google Map, Google Earth, Map Info, Global Mapper, CAD Map etc and familiar with LIDAR software (Agisoft).

· Technical Expertise: Proficiency in LiDAR processing software (e.g., TerraSolid, LASTools, Global Mapper, Pix4D, Agisoft Metashape

Qualification:

· Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Geomatics, M.Sc (GIS & Remote Sensing) / or B.A (Geography / Geology) or Graduate (Any equivalent steam) with PG Diploma in GIS & Remote Sensing or Certification In Lidar .

Experience: Minimum 2 Years of experience in Lidar Data/Drone data processing
