A reputed Industry Group of Manufacturing Industries of North East India is actively looking for a Legal Officer, with experience in all land matters, to join its existing team of Lawyers, under the Legal department.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Thorough and detailed knowledge of the land Purchase Process.
- Aware of all government apps and websites for checking Dag No, Patta No, Mutation Status, Maps of Land, Sale Permission Status, etc.
- Prior experience of dealing with Mondal, the circle office, the DC Office, etc.
- Experience in drafting legal notices for defaulting or reluctant parties after the sale deed and, if required, filing legal cases to conclude and expedite land procurement, preventing delays.
- Conduct legal due diligence for land acquisition and disposal.
- Prior experience of dealing with Landowners and land buyers.
- Verify land titles, ownership documents, encumbrances, and revenue records.
- Review and draft sale deeds, lease deeds, development agreements, MoUs, conveyance deeds, and other property-related legal documents.
- Coordinate land registration, mutation, and other post-registration formalities.
- Monitor land-related litigation and coordinate with external advocates.
- Liaise with government departments,



revenue authorities, municipal bodies, development authorities, and regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate for obtaining statutory approvals, permissions, NOCs, and licenses related to land and project development.
- Maintain a repository of land records, agreements, court documents, and approvals.
- Prepare legal opinions, status reports, and case summaries for management.

Required Skills

- 10 years of experience in land laws and liaising with government authorities.
- Solid knowledge of land, property, and revenue laws.
- Prior experience in the Purchase and SALE of Land.
- Expertise in drafting and reviewing legal agreements.
- Excellent linguistic ability in reading and writing the local language.
- Familiarity with land registration, mutation, and statutory approval processes.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in Law (LL.B.); LL.M. is preferred.
- Enrolment with the Bar Council is desirable.

Salary Range: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month

Job Type: Full-time, this position prohibits any other work outside company assignments!
