Job Description – Speech Therapist

The Speech Therapist is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and providing evidence-based intervention to children with speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, feeding, and swallowing disorders. The therapist works closely with parents, special educators, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized therapy plans aimed at improving communication skills and enhancing functional independence.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, and communication assessments.
- Develop and implement Individualized Therapy Plans (ITPs) based on each child's needs.
- Deliver individual and group speech therapy sessions using evidence-based techniques.
- Monitor, evaluate, and document therapy progress with periodic reviews.
- Maintain accurate clinical records, assessment reports, and therapy documentation.
- Counsel and train parents/caregivers on home-based intervention strategies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic child development.
- Recommend and facilitate the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) systems where appropriate.
- Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute to educational planning.




- Conduct awareness programmes, workshops, and training sessions for parents and staff.
- Ensure adherence to ethical standards, safety protocols, and skilled guidelines.
- Keep abreast of current developments and best practices in speech-language pathology through continuous professional development.

Qualifications & Experience:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (BASLP/MASLP) from a recognized institution.
- Valid registration with the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) or relevant statutory authority.
- Experience working with children with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, cerebral palsy, hearing impairment, and learning disabilities is desirable.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
