Reporting: Chief Digital Officer
Location: Ahmedabad

Align technology vision for a next generation Natural Resources business with overall business strategy.
Develop and manage the technology roadmap for the business.
Provide informed window into how digital technologies are being used to transform the Mining, Trading and Metals sector around the world
Drive deployment of relevant technology platforms within the business working closely with group organizations
Guide rapid technology PoCs and pilots within business driven by a clearly articulated business value proposition.

The Head of the team would be expected to perform the following:

Drive the technology vision for the business aligned with the business strategy.
Build and own the technology roadmap for the Trading, Mining and Metals business.
Continuously identify and evaluate technologies and business models that impact the current & future strategy of the Trading, Mining & Metals business.
Recruit and build strong team of high performing individuals for all components of role.
Develop thought leadership in the industry through active engagement in the external market, both domestically and internationally.
Promote a culture of innovation and encourage the exploration of new technologies and ideas whilst securing buy-in from Business leaders.
Drive the execution of technology projects and initiatives and ensure they are delivered on time, within budget while meeting quality standards.
Collaborate and secure technology vendors and partners to ensure the business has access to the requisite modules, platforms and tools
Develop and manage technology budgets, ensure optimal allocation of resources.



Manage technology related expenses and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Ensure compliance with relevant technology regulations and industry standards.

Profile: Potential candidate for the position would be expected to showcase:

Experience in navigating large and complex organizations, including gaining access to key executives and stakeholders and successfully managing relationships.
Ability to connect large scale technology trends with a knack for spotting strategic. opportunities for the Business to develop the technology vision.
Passion for new technologies and their potential to transform the world.
Ability to develop business cases for technology activities.
Proven track record to guide and manage deployments of new technology pilots.
Robust Leadership skills and influencing skills. Strategic thinking capabilities.
Excellent communication and presentation skills to be able to inspire confidence in both internal and external stakeholders.

Desired professional experience

Experience 10+ years in the Mining or Metals sector, either in an operating company, or in a top Tier Strategy Consulting firm.
Experience with a range of Digital technologies from Software (e.g., AI and machine language, Big Data), to Operational Hardware (e.g., OT, Internet of Things).
Experience in working with Technology companies around the world that develop cutting edge technologies.
Proven track record in deploying these cutting-edge technologies in an industrial setting within the Mining sector.
Background in technology sector and/or companies with deep understanding of latest trends and ongoing developments in the mining sector.

Educational experience

PhD and/or MBA from a reputed Global or Indian institute.
Masters in engineering from a reputed university. .
