Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP OCR Consultant with expertise in Insalvo OCR (or similar SAP-certified OCR solutions) and integration with SAP Ariba Vendor Invoice Management Solution (VIMS). The consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting automated invoice capture solutions that integrate seamlessly with SAP Ariba and SAP ERP/SAP S/4HANA, enabling end-to-end invoice processing and workflow automation.

Key Responsibilities

Design, configure, and implement Insalvo OCR (or equivalent SAP OCR solution) for invoice digitization.

Configure intelligent invoice capture, document classification, data extraction, and validation rules.

Integrate OCR solutions with SAP Ariba VIMS for automated invoice processing.

Configure document routing, exception handling, and approval workflows.

Work with business stakeholders to understand Accounts Payable (AP) requirements and translate them into functional solutions.

Support integration between OCR, SAP Ariba, SAP ERP ECC, and SAP S/4HANA.

Configure vendor-specific extraction templates and business validation rules.

Perform fit-gap analysis and prepare functional design documentation.

Support data mapping, testing (Unit, SIT, UAT), deployment, and hypercare activities.

Troubleshoot OCR extraction issues, integration failures, and workflow exceptions.

Optimize OCR accuracy through continuous tuning and template enhancement.

Collaborate with SAP Ariba, Basis, Integration,



and ABAP teams during implementation.

Prepare user documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions.

Required Skills

5+ years of experience implementing SAP OCR solutions (Insalvo OCR preferred).

Strong understanding of invoice automation and Accounts Payable processes.

Experience integrating OCR solutions with SAP Ariba VIMS.

Knowledge of SAP Ariba Buying & Invoicing and invoice processing workflows.

Experience integrating with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.

Understanding of OCR technologies, document recognition, machine learning-based extraction, and validation processes.

Familiarity with SAP integration technologies such as SAP Cloud Integration Gateway (CIG), APIs, IDocs, Web Services, or middleware.

Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Preferred Skills

Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) integration.

Experience with electronic invoice processing and compliance requirements.

Exposure to SAP Invoice Management solutions and SAP VIM is an advantage.

SAP Ariba implementation experience.

SAP certification in SAP Ariba or related procurement solutions is preferred.
