About the Role:

Reporting to: Project Manager & Head of Projects

Location: Navi Mumbai (1-2 days/week from Andheri office)

Engagement: Full-time fellowship

Minimum commitment: 3 months (mandatory; with a possible extension to 6 months OR a full-time role based on performance)

Stipend: INR 10,000 - 15,000 per month (based on prior experience)

Start: Immediate/August 2026

Project Mumbai is seeking a proactive fellow to support the planning and execution of civic engagement and sustainability projects in collaboration with government bodies, schools, corporates, NGOs and communities. This field-based role involves project management, stakeholder coordination, government liaison, reporting and partnership management, while providing mentorship from senior leadership and hands-on experience in driving community impact.

Key Responsibilities

1. Government & Institutional Partnerships Support

- Assist in coordinating with government departments, municipal bodies and public institutions.




- Support scheduling and follow-ups for meetings and engagements with officials and partner representatives.
- Help prepare presentations, concept notes, briefs and updates for government and institutional stakeholders.
- Maintain trackers of approvals, action points and follow-ups across stakeholders.

2. Project Operations & Delivery

- Support day-to-day coordination of projects across education, sustainability, civic engagement and community participation.
- Assist in planning and scheduling activities across partner institutions and communities.
- Help track project milestones, timelines and deliverables.
- Coordinate with fellow teams, implementation partners and volunteers as required.

3. Partnership Management & Stakeholder Engagement

- Support coordination across government, schools, NGOs, CSR partners, institutions and community stakeholders.
- Assist in onboarding and engagement of implementation and ecosystem partners.
- Help organise meetings, workshops, field visits and stakeholder consultations.

4. Reporting, Documentation & Knowledge Management

- Assist in preparing project reports, dashboards, review notes and progress updates.
- Help maintain project trackers and documentation systems.
- Support the capture of outputs, outcomes, learnings and impact stories across initiatives.

What We Expect from You

This fellowship is a genuine working role within a live, fast-moving project portfolio and not a passive learning placement. To make this a productive and impactful engagement, we require the fellow to commit to the following:

- Minimum tenure of 3 months.




- Full-time, in-role commitment: Availability for the agreed working days and hours, including the 2 in-office days per week at Andheri.
- Ownership and follow-through: Tasks assigned like trackers, briefs, follow-ups, field coordination are expected to be completed on time and to a qualified standard, with proactive updates if something is delayed or blocked.
- Willingness to work on the ground: This role involves field visits, events and on-ground coordination, not just desk-based work. Flexibility to travel within Mumbai/Navi Mumbai as project needs require.

Duration & Extension

The fellowship requires a minimum committed period of 3 months.

Based on performance, the tenure can be extended up to 6 months, and in select cases, into a longer-term or full-time association with Project Mumbai.

Candidate Profile

- Bachelor's/ Master's degree (any stream), with a genuine passion for environment and sustainability work.
- 0–1 year of experience - Prior internship, volunteering or project work in government engagement, partnerships, CSR, education, sustainability or the development sector is a plus.
- Proficiency in English and Marathi
- Interest in working with government or institutional stakeholders.
- Basic documentation and presentation development abilities (MS Office/Google Workspace)
