We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and execution-oriented Chief of Staff to serve as a high-level strategic partner to our leadership team and drive key enterprise-wide initiatives.
Role Summary
As the Chief of Staff (CoF) at Starive, you will act as a primary force multiplier for the executive team. Bridging strategic vision and day-to-day operational execution, you will oversee strategic banking projects, streamline cross-departmental operations, and lead critical executive communications.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Execution
- Collaborate directly with executive leaders to translate long-term business strategy into actionable roadmaps across key banking divisions.
- Track and manage enterprise-level KPIs, ensuring strategic objectives, revenue goals, and transformational milestones are met.
- Drive cross-functional initiatives across Product, Risk, Compliance, Operations, and Technology teams.
Banking Domain & Regulatory Alignment
- Leverage strong domain knowledge in banking (payments, lending, risk management, regulatory frameworks, open banking, or digital transformation) to guide strategic decisions.
- Ensure all business strategies align with strict financial compliance, regulatory standards, and risk governance framework.
- Synthesize market trends, macroeconomic factors, and competitive intelligence to keep Starive ahead of industry shifts.
Operational Excellence & Governance
- Lead the governance cadence: design agendas,
synthesize intelligence, and manage execution tracking for Board meetings, Executive Committee reviews, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
- Troubleshoot complex operational bottlenecks, step into leadership gaps on key strategic projects, and oversee special business initiatives from inception to delivery.
Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted advisor and sounding board to executive leadership, providing objective perspectives and strategic counsel.
- Draft high-impact board decks, strategic presentations, investor relations updates, and organizational communications.
- Candidate Qualifications
- Experience: 6-8 years of qualified experience, with at least 5+ years in a senior strategy, corporate development, management consulting, or operational leadership role within the Banking, FinTech, or Financial Services sector.
- Domain Expertise: Strong foundational knowledge of core banking processes, financial technology, regulatory standards (e.g., Basel frameworks, AML/KYC, local banking authority mandates), and financial governance.
- Strategic & Analytical Capability: Proven track record of turning complex, high-level business ideas into structured operational frameworks.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional written, verbal, and executive presentation skills; adept at influencing without direct authority.
- Problem-Solving Mindset: High emotional intelligence (EQ), adaptability, and calm judgment in high-stakes environments.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field required. An MBA or equivalent advanced degree from a leading institution is strongly preferred.
