Role Description The Senior Interior Designer is a full-time, in office role based in Kolkata. This role involves leading interior design projects from concept to completion, including developing design schemes, preparing mood boards, and coordinating FF&E; selections to align with OAK GALLERIE's aesthetic standards. The designer will oversee space planning, collaborate with architects and contractors, review and produce construction drawings, and ensure that materials and finishes meet the studio's quality criteria. Daily responsibilities include meeting clients, presenting design proposals, managing project timelines and budgets, and supervising on-site implementation to maintain design integrity. The Senior Interior Designer will also mentor junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and standards.

Qualifications





- Minimum 10+ years of experience.
- Strong skills in Interior Design and FF&E; selection, including creating cohesive design concepts and specifying furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.
- Demonstrated expertise in Space Planning to optimize functionality, circulation, and aesthetics within residential or commercial interiors.
- Knowledge of Architecture principles and ability to coordinate effectively with architectural teams and other consultants.
- Proficiency in developing and reviewing Construction Drawings, details, and documentation for execution on site.
- Professional experience working with high-quality materials and custom-crafted pieces, ideally in luxury or high-end design environments.
- Advanced proficiency in design and visualization tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and familiarity with industry-standard documentation practices.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, with several years of experience in a senior or lead design role.
- Strong client-facing communication skills, ability to present ideas clearly, and experience managing project timelines, budgets, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work on-site in Kolkata with flexibility to visit project locations as needed.
