Role Description The ECBC and Building Energy Simulation Specialist is a full-time, in office role based in Navi Mumbai. The specialist will conduct detailed building energy simulations, perform compliance checks with the Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC), and support the design of energy-efficient building systems. Daily responsibilities include analyzing architectural and MEP drawings, preparing energy models, generating technical reports, and providing recommendations to improve building performance. The role involves close coordination with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to integrate energy efficiency strategies into project designs.



The specialist will also support documentation for regulatory approvals, contribute to sustainability assessments, and assist in developing internal standards and guidelines for energy-efficient design.
Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of ECBC and related building energy codes and standards, including experience with compliance documentation.
- Proficiency in building energy simulation tools (e.g., EnergyPlus, eQuest, DesignBuilder, or similar) and familiarity with HVAC and building services systems.
- Ability to interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings and translate them into accurate energy models.
- Experience in sustainable building design, green building rating systems (such as IGBC or LEED), and energy efficiency strategies.
- Solid analytical and quantitative skills, including comfort with data analysis, benchmarking, and preparation of technical reports.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams and present findings to stakeholders.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
- Prior experience in building energy modelling or ECBC compliance projects is highly desirable; familiarity with Indian climate conditions and typologies is an advantage.
