Simpalm Staffing is seeking an experienced Senior Immigration Paralegal to support a law firm. This senior-level professional will manage employment-based immigration cases, support client accounts, and review the work of junior paralegals. In collaboration with attorneys, provide account management services to assigned clients, including the following duties.
Responsibility:
- Manage assigned client accounts with general oversight from attorney(s), pushing processes forward based on own initiative, and completing assignments within firm expectation.
- Manage employment-based immigration cases from initiation through filing with attorney oversight.
- Prepare and review forms, support letters, evidence, and petition packages for H-1B, H-4/H-4 EAD, PERM, I-140, Adjustment of Status, L-1, TN, E-3, H-1B1, and RFE matters.
- Manage PERM cases through all stages, including prevailing wage, recruitment, ETA Form 9089 filing, and subsequent I-140 and Adjustment of Status preparation.
- Monitor deadlines, documentation, attorney reviews, filing status, and client communications.
- Manage assigned client accounts, proactively follow up on pending items, and escalate legal or deadline-related risks.
- Prepare client status, expiration, initiation, and filing reports.
- Assign work to junior paralegals, review their case preparation, monitor completion, and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate and confidential case records while staying current with USCIS, Department of Labor, and Department of State updates.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of hands-on US employment-based immigration experience in a paralegal, immigration specialist, analyst, or similar role.
- Extensive experience with H-1B, PERM, I-140, and employment-based Adjustment of Status cases.
- Experience with H-4/H-4 EAD, L-1, TN, E-3, H-1B1, and RFE responses.
- Experience reviewing cases, supervising junior paralegals, assigning work, and ensuring quality and deadline compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex cases, multiple corporate client accounts, and competing deadlines.
- At least three years of experience working directly with US clients or US-based law firms is strongly preferred.
- Experience using immigration case-management platforms such as INSZoom, LawLogix, Docketwise, or similar tools is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal English, client-management, organization, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with O-1, E-2, EB-1A, EB-1C, or EB-2 NIW matters is an advantage.
- Bachelor's degree in law, legal studies, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Must be available to work full time during US Central Time, requiring night-shift hours in India.
