Introduction

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly analytical Senior Accountant Property Accounting to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will possess strong accounting fundamentals and exceptional analytical skills , enabling them to manage complex financial data, identify variances, and deliver accurate and insightful financial reports. This role requires hands-on experience in property accounting, lease structures, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.

- We are looking for a Senior Accountant Property Accounting with strong accounting fundamentals and analytical skills to oversee financial management and reporting for a portfolio of real estate properties.
- The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of handling complex financial data while effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting:

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for real estate properties in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) .

Budgeting And Forecasting

- Assist in the preparation of annual property budgets and forecasts. Monitor budget variances and provide detailed analysis and explanations for deviations.

General Ledger Management

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger entries for all property-related transactions, including rent, expenses, accruals, and capital expenditures.

Accounts Payable And Receivable

- Oversee AP and AR processes for property transactions, ensuring accuracy, completeness,



and timely processing.

CAM (Common Area Maintenance) Reconciliations

- Prepare and review annual CAM reconciliations in line with lease agreements and industry standards.

Tax Compliance

- Assist in property tax filings and coordinate with external tax consultants to ensure compliance.

Audit Support

- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and responding to auditor queries.

Financial Analysis

- Perform in-depth financial analysis including variance analysis, trend analysis, ROI evaluation, and identifying performance insights.

Process Improvement

- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and control within the property accounting function.

Qualifications

- CA Qualified (Most preferred)
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in accounting , with relevant experience in property accounting
- Minimum 1+ year of hands-on Yardi experience (Must-have)
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in Yardi and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a rapid-paced environment
- High attention to detail and accuracy
