We are seeking a skilled and proactive Deputy Manager - Legal to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a law graduate with a CS Inter qualification who possesses strong communication, drafting, and negotiation skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing legal documentation, ensuring compliance, and supporting various corporate governance functions.
Role & responsibilities:
1. Legal:
- Commercial Contracts: -Draft, review and finalise commercial contracts and other legal documents. Ensure that all documents comply with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Legal Research: Conduct legal research to stay informed about changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization. Provide legal opinions and advice based on research findings.
- Compliance Monitoring:
Monitor and ensure compliance across the company in adherence to the legal and regulatory requirements.
- Document Management: Maintain an organized system for document storage and retrieval. Track changes and updates to legal documents and maintain version control.
- Collaborate with attorneys, auditors, and other internal & external stakeholders
2. Secretarial:
- Prepare, review, and finalize documentation related to board meetings, shareholders meetings, and committee meetings. Ensure all records are accurate and compliant with legal and regulatory requirements.
- MCA E-filings and updating statutory registers.
Qualifications:
- Law graduate with a CS Inter qualification. 4+ years experience in a firm or in-house.
- Ability to independently manage and review commercial contracts.
- In-depth knowledge of legal principles, Companies Act 2013, contract law, and relevant legislation.
- Excellent drafting, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with legal and compliance software and tools.
- Adherence to ethical standards and confidentiality.
