Description

We are seeking an experienced WAS Administrator to manage and maintain our application server environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Websphere Application Server, Websphere Portal Server, and various web server technologies. You will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, and security of our application servers while collaborating with development teams to support application deployments.

Responsibilities

- Install, configure, and maintain Websphere Application Server (WAS) and Websphere Portal Server (WPS).
- Manage Weblogic and ensure its optimal performance.
- Configure and manage IBM HTTP Server (IHS) for web application deployment.
- Implement and manage Siteminder for security and access management.
- Administer various web servers including Apache Tomcat and JBoss.
- Monitor and troubleshoot application servers and web servers to ensure high availability and performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment and configuration.




- Perform routine maintenance and upgrades on application servers and web servers.
- Document system configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.

Skills and Qualifications

- 10-17 years of experience in WAS administration.
- Strong hands-on experience with Websphere Application Server (WAS).
- Proficient in Websphere Portal Server (WPS) administration.
- Experience with Weblogic server management.
- Knowledge of IBM HTTP Server (IHS) configuration and management.
- Familiarity with Siteminder for secure access control.
- Experience with web servers like Apache Tomcat and JBoss.
- Proficiency in load balancing and traffic management with F5.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic setting.
