We are Sisco Jobs, a recruitment consultancy based in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. We are currently hiring on behalf of our client for the position of Plant Operator located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Our client is a reputed organization in the Water & Wastewater Treatment sector looking for skilled and motivated professionals to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities


- Operate and monitor STP, ETP, and RO treatment systems efficiently.

- Inspect pumps, blowers, motors, and related equipment regularly.

- Maintain plant operational parameters and process records.

- Follow all site safety standards and operational guidelines.

- Support preventive maintenance and troubleshooting activities.

- Monitor water quality and treatment performance.

- Coordinate with maintenance teams for equipment upkeep.

- Maintain housekeeping and safety standards across the plant.


Required Skills

- STP Operations: Understanding sewage treatment plant processes.

- ETP Operations: Monitoring and maintaining effluent treatment systems.





- RO Systems: Basic knowledge of reverse osmosis plant operations.

- Equipment Handling: Operation of pumps, motors, and blowers.

- Safety Compliance: Following industrial safety procedures and PPE usage.


Preferred Skills

- Water testing knowledge

- Preventive maintenance exposure

- Basic troubleshooting skills


Work Experience Requirements


Candidates should possess 1–3 years of experience in water or wastewater treatment operations. Experience in STP, ETP, or RO plants is preferred. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working in industrial environments and following operational SOPs.

Education

- Minimum: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or related field

- Preferred: Diploma / Engineering Degree

- Additional: Safety or Water Treatment Certifications
