Role & responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

- Operate and monitor the DCS for manufacturing processes.
- Start up, shut down, and control production equipment through the DCS interface.
- Monitor critical process parameters such as temperature, pressure, flow, pH, level, and mixing speed.
- Ensure production batches are executed according to approved Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR).
- Maintain continuous monitoring of production processes to ensure uninterrupted operations.

Process Control

- Identify process deviations and take corrective actions within authorized limits.
- Respond promptly to alarms and system notifications.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, maintenance, and quality teams during process interruptions.
- Assist in process optimization to improve productivity and reduce downtime.

Documentation

- Record process data accurately in logbooks and electronic systems.
- Maintain batch records and shift reports.
- Report abnormalities, breakdowns, and production deviations immediately.
- Ensure documentation complies with ALCOA+ data integrity principles.

Quality Compliance

- Follow GMP, GDP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements.




- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with approved specifications.
- Support investigations related to deviations, CAPA, and change controls.
- Participate in internal and external audits.

Safety & EHS

- Follow Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) procedures.
- Report unsafe conditions and near misses.
- Participate in emergency response activities.
- Ensure protected operation of plant equipment.

Equipment Monitoring

- Monitor equipment status through DCS.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance activities.
- Verify equipment readiness before production starts.
- Report equipment abnormalities to the maintenance department.

Communication

- Coordinate effectively with:
- Production Operators
- Shift Supervisors
- QA Department
- Engineering & Maintenance
- Utilities Team
- Warehouse
