Main Function of Job:

Responsible for:

- Gathering and analysing business requirements for both projects and change requests and producing Business Requirements Specifications.
- Leading client workshops
- Writing Functional specifications and obtaining sign-off
- Supporting other project teams members with the overall solution delivery
- Analysis, planning and change management for change requests

Reporting Line:

- This role reports to the Business Analyst Team Leader

EXPERIENCE

Essential

At least 4 years recent experience (Also, should have worked on at least 1 Waterfall project within the last 23 years.)

- Analysing and developing business systems' requirements and needs
- Production of transparent and detailed business process models and requirement specifications
- Functional Design Specification
- User Acceptance Scripts and Testing
- Experience operating within formal project and programme governance frameworks
- Experience managing complex requirements, dependencies and stakeholder groups
- Experience working on projects with fixed timelines,



regulatory obligations or significant organisational impact
- Working closely with end users to develop their use of complex, off-the-shelf software packages
- Design and delivery of training programmes and written material
- Project Management understanding or experience.

Specific Responsibilities:

Project and Change Delivery

- Gather business requirements by individual meetings and workshops.
- Document ‘as is’ and ‘to be’ business processes.
- Produce Business Requirements Specifications to ULaw standard.
- Produce RFI / RFP documents to support the tender process where 3rd party solution is required.
- Support business case production through the capture, analysis and prioritisation of benefits
- Work with Solution Delivery team to propose appropriate solutions.
- Produce Functional Design Specifications to ULaw standard.
- Support the UAT process by identifying whether issues raised are actually change requests and ensuring these are logged against the project.

Project Management

- Provide input to the project plan
- Report project progress to Project Manager
- Under some circumstance limited Project Management support will be available – a good understanding of project management is therefore desirable and management of small projects and changes may be essential at times.
