Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Electrical Safety professional to join our Maintenance Department. The role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of electrical safety across the manufacturing facility by developing safety systems, ensuring statutory compliance, mitigating electrical risks, and driving a proactive safety culture.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, implement, and continuously improve the organization's electrical safety policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure the safe operation, maintenance, and reliability of all electrical systems, equipment, and installations across the manufacturing facility.
- Establish, implement, and monitor Electrical Safety Programs, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and Energy Isolation Procedures.
- Conduct Electrical Hazard Identification and Risk Assessments (HIRA) and implement appropriate risk mitigation measures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory regulations, electrical codes, and standards including IEC, IS Standards, OSHA, and local regulatory requirements.
- Plan and lead internal as well as external electrical safety audits and ensure timely closure of audit observations.
- Investigate electrical incidents, near misses, equipment failures, and unsafe conditions.
- Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence.
- Analyze electrical safety trends and recommend continuous improvement initiatives.
- Oversee periodic inspection, testing, and certification of electrical installations, substations, transformers,



switchgear, MCCs, protection systems, earthing systems, and lightning protection systems.
- Develop and conduct electrical safety training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and supervisors.
- Collaborate with maintenance, production, engineering, and EHS teams to ensure electrical safety is integrated into all maintenance and operational activities.

Desired Candidate Profile

- B.Tech in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Electrical Safety within manufacturing, heavy engineering, automotive, steel, cement, or process industries.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety regulations, statutory compliance, IEC, IS Standards, OSHA, LOTO, PTW, HIRA, RCA, and CAPA.
- Hands-on experience with HT/LT systems, substations, transformers, switchgear, MCCs, protection systems, earthing, and lightning protection.
- Experience in conducting electrical safety audits, inspections, and compliance reviews.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive corrective actions.
- Robust leadership, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).
- Knowledge of SAP PM or other Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) will be an added advantage.
