Responsibilities

- Lead the planning, design review, execution, testing, commissioning, and handover of depot workshop equipment for metro and railway projects.
- Review technical specifications, engineering drawings, layouts, and design deliverables to ensure compliance with project requirements and international standards.
- Manage the engineering, installation, testing, and commissioning of depot workshop equipment, including Train Wash Plants (TWP), Underfloor Wheel Lathes (UWL), Wheel Presses, Mobile Lifting Jacks, Lifting Systems, Warehouse Systems, Service Vehicles, and other depot maintenance equipment.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces with Civil, MEP, Rolling Stock, Track, Signalling, Telecommunications, and Depot systems to ensure seamless project execution.
- Plan, conduct, and manage Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), Integrated Testing Commissioning (ITC), operational readiness activities, and final system handover.
- Act as the primary technical interface between clients, consultants, contractors, OEMs, operators, and regulatory authorities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, risks, and technical performance to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.
- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, quality standards, safety regulations, and project governance processes.
- Prepare, review, and maintain technical documentation, inspection and test plans (ITPs), commissioning reports, method statements, and project records.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate technical risks while driving continuous improvement and resolving engineering challenges.




- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams while promoting collaboration and knowledge sharing across multidisciplinary teams.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager, Engineering Manager, or authorized representatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent engineering discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in metro, railway, or mass transit projects.
- Proven experience in the design, installation, testing, commissioning, operation, and maintenance of depot workshop equipment.
- Strong knowledge of depot systems, maintenance facilities, and depot plant and machinery used in metro and railway projects.
- Experience in conducting and managing FAT, SAT, Integrated Testing Commissioning (ITC), and operational readiness activities.
- Robust understanding of quality management systems, safety standards, risk management, and contractual compliance.
- Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing interfaces with clients, contractors, OEMs, and consultants.
- Ability to review technical drawings, specifications, engineering documentation, and interface requirements.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project planning/management tools.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
- Experience working on international metro and railway projects will be an added advantage.
