Role & responsibilities

1. Bid Financial Validation & Governance

Own end-to-end financial validation of bids, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance.

Validate pricing models, cost assumptions, margins, and profitability.

Ensure adherence to organizational financial policies, approval matrices, and risk thresholds.

2. Profit & Loss (P&L;) Ownership

Assess bid-level P&L; for short-term and long-term financial viability.

Validate revenue recognition, cost allocation, and contribution margins.

Ensure alignment between bid P&L; and overall business financial goals.

3. Risk Assessment & Mitigation

Identify financial, commercial, and delivery risks within bids.

Quantify risk impact on margins and cash flow.

Recommend risk mitigation strategies and pricing adjustments.

4. Stakeholder Collaboration

Partner with Sales, Pre-Sales, Delivery, Legal, and Finance teams during bid preparation.

Provide financial guidance and challenge assumptions constructively.

Support leadership with clear financial insights for go/no-go decisions.

5. Compliance & Audit Readiness

Ensure all bids meet internal controls, audit, and statutory requirements.

Ensure proper documentation and approvals for bid P&L; signoffs.





Support internal and external audits related to bid financials.

6. Margin Improvement & Value Creation

Identify opportunities for margin optimization and cost efficiencies.

Benchmark pricing against historical data and market/region trends.

Drive initiatives to improve bid win-rate without compromising profitability.

Ensure timely and accurate bid approval reports.

Track post-win performance vs bid P&L; assumptions for feedback loops.

7. Turnaround Time & Quality Metrics

Ensure timely validation of bids without compromising quality.

Maintain high accuracy and minimal rework.

Meet SLAs for bid review and approvals.

8. Leadership & Capability Building

Establish standard templates, tools, and best practices for bid P&L; validation.

Drive continuous improvement in bid financial governance.

Preferred candidate profile

- Core experience in bid financial evaluation, pricing and P&L; validation
- Experience of working on large complex bids/ RFPs/ proposals
- Positive exposure to cost modelling, margin analysis, revenue forecasting and risk assessment
- Working knowledge of ERP systems
- Experience in Food Service, Industrial Catering & Services
