Role & responsibilities

- Own the IoT and Industry 4.0 roadmap for mining operations, from concept and PoC to full-scale rollout.
- Design and deploy sensor networks, telematics, GPS/GNSS tracking, RFID, proximity detection and collision avoidance systems on HEMM and plant equipment.
- Implement and administer Fleet Management Systems (FMS), dispatch systems, weighbridge integration and machine health monitoring platforms.
- Build dashboards and analytics for OEE, equipment availability, fuel monitoring, cycle time, payload and operator behaviour.
- Integrate field data with ERP (SAP / Oracle), MES and cloud platforms (Azure / AWS / GCP IoT services); manage APIs and data pipelines.
- Establish edge computing, connectivity (LoRaWAN / NB-IoT / 4G-5G / Wi-Fi mesh) and network architecture for remote mine locations.
- Ensure cyber security, data governance and system uptime for all deployed OT/IT assets.




- Manage vendors, system integrators and AMC contracts; prepare business cases, budgets and benefit realisation reports.
- Train and support user departments and drive adoption of digital tools across mine operations.

Preferred candidate profile

- Experience in industrial IoT / Industry 4.0 deployment, preferably in mining, cement, steel or heavy manufacturing.
- Hands-on exposure to SCADA, PLC, sensors, MQTT, edge devices, telematics and data visualisation tools (Power BI / Tableau / Grafana).
- Understanding of predictive maintenance analytics and machine learning use cases is desirable.
- Robust project management, vendor management and stakeholder communication skills.
