Role & responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE :

Responsible for leading and managing cross-functional teams in software development, testing, and system engineering to deliver high-quality, customer-focused solutions. Provides technical and people leadership across the product lifecycle from concept to deployment ensuring alignment between engineering, product management, and customer requirements. Collaborates closely with technical specialists across the domains to drive new product development, resolve complex technical challenges, and ensure timely, efficient, and compliant project delivery while fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

1. Technical Leadership & Strategy

- Lead cross-functional technical direction to ensure alignment with product and customer needs.
- Drive technology roadmap and architecture decisions to support scalability and innovation.
- Provide technical guidance to resolve complex issues and ensure engineering excellence across domains.

2. Product Development & Delivery

- Oversee end-to-end product development lifecycle to ensure timely and quality delivery of new products and feature enhancements.
- Align cross-domain development efforts to achieve program milestones.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to meet delivery commitments.

3. Cross-functional Collaboration

- Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Product Owners, and Product Specialists to translate business requirements into actionable engineering deliverables.
- Facilitate coordination among software, validation, and system teams for seamless integration.
- Ensure effective communication and alignment between technical teams and customer-facing functions.

4. People & Team Management

- Lead, mentor, and develop multi-disciplinary teams to enhance technical and leadership capabilities.




- Define individual and team goals aligned with organizational priorities.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture focused on ownership and continuous learning.

5. Quality & Process Governance

- Establish and monitor engineering and testing standards to ensure compliance with organizational and customer quality benchmarks.
- Drive process adherence and continuous improvement initiatives across development and testing workflows.
- Review and validate deliverables to maintain technical and functional accuracy.

6. Customer Focus & Stakeholder Management

- Engage with customers to understand technical expectations, gather feedback, and ensure satisfaction
- Translate customer needs into technical requirements and solutions.
- Proactively communicate project status, risks, and mitigation plans to internal and external stakeholders.

7. Risk Management & Issue Resolution

- Identify potential risks in product development and testing stages to minimize delivery impact.
- Implement preventive measures and contingency plans to manage technical and operational risks.
- Facilitate root cause analysis and ensure permanent corrective actions for recurring issues.

8. Innovation & Continuous Improvement

- Encourage adoption of recent technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance efficiency and product performance.
- Promote knowledge sharing and best practice implementation across teams.
- Drive automation and optimization initiatives to improve productivity and reduce development cycle time.

Preferred candidate profile

a) Qualifications

- Minimum Qualification required: B Tech/BE in ENTC/Electronics
- Qualifications preferred: M Tech/ME in ENTC/Electronics

b) Work Experience

- Minimum 15 years of experience in automotive industry
- Embedded software design, CAN protocols, Design and Development
- Knowledge of microcontrollers (Renesas, Microchip, Ambrella, etc.
