Role Objective :To manage daily smart meter installation operations at the field level by supervising technicians and installers, ensuring installation targets are achieved with high quality, minimizing communication failures, and supporting timely SAT completion while maintaining coordination with divisional management and utility representatives.

Job Description / Responsibilities

1. Field Installation Management

- Supervise daily smart meter installation activities in the assigned area.
- Allocate installation routes and work assignments to technicians/installers.
- Ensure achievement of daily installation targets.

2. Team Supervision

- Lead and monitor the performance of installers and technicians.
- Ensure attendance, discipline, and productivity of field teams.
- Provide in office guidance and troubleshooting support.

3. Installation Quality Control

- Ensure proper installation as per technical guidelines and SOPs.
- Monitor faulty installations and ensure corrective actions.




- Conduct random field audits to maintain quality standards.

4. Meter Communication Monitoring

- Ensure installed meters communicate with the system within defined timelines.
- Identify and resolve Never Communication (NC) and Non-Communication (NCOM) cases in coordination with technical teams.

5. Field Coordination

- Coordinate with logistics teams for meter availability and material supply.
- Support survey, installation, and documentation activities.

6. Reporting & Documentation

- Maintain accurate records of installations, meter details, and field activities.
- Share daily progress reports and issue updates with the Divisional In-Charge.

Preferred candidate profile

This role is the ground commander, directly managing installers and ensuring meters get installed correctly, communicate properly, and pass SAT without friction. Think boots on the ground with a dashboard in hand .
