Consumer Education and Research Centre, a not-for-profit Organization, is India’s pioneering Consumer Rights Organization – the only Consumer Rights Organization having its own food product testing laboratories.CERC’s Food Laboratory has been testing and analysing food products and carries out programmes to promote public awareness on safe and healthy eating habits, on risk factors of NCD’s, HFSS calorie dense food, adulteration and quality parameters of food.

Job activity will include: Planning the product testing projects, development of technical parameters and testing method as well as budgeting, Chemical and Instrumental analysis of food and health care products, Training the junior staff and students on laboratory techniques, etc.



Over a period of time the successful candidates may be deputed to represent CERC at qualified and Government fora.

We are looking for a young candidate preferably M.Sc. in Biological Sciences (Food and Nutrition/Biochemistry/ Chemistry / Microbiology / Biotechnology) with 2-4 years’ experience in chemical and biological food testing, committed to making career in the Voluntary Sector. The selected candidate will be placed in Ahmedabad and will report to Manager, Food Laboratory.
