Ahmedabad

Role & responsibilities

Company: A & T Infracon Private Limited (ATIPL)
Location: Head Office (Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar)
Reports to: Director / Management

Role Summary

Head-office based Contract Manager responsible for centralized oversight of contracts across all ongoing sites (Gujarat, Rajasthan, J&K;, West Bengal, Sikkim), and for evaluating current project opportunities before bid submission acting as the bridge between site teams and management on all contractual and commercial matters.

Key Responsibilities

A. Ongoing Project Management & Review

- Maintain a master contract tracker across all live projects — key dates (effective date, milestones, completion date, DLP), client, contract value, variation status, claim status
- Review site-level RA bills, measurement sheets, and variation claims before submission to client for accuracy and contractual compliance
- Monitor EOT (Extension of Time) applications and ensure notices are issued within GCC-prescribed timelines across all sites
- Conduct periodic (monthly) contract health reviews per project — flag delays, cost overruns, disputed items, or client non-payment issues to management
- Review and vet subcontractor/vendor work orders for back-to-back compliance with main contract terms
- Act as single point of coordination between site project managers and head office/management on contractual correspondence
- Track performance security, insurance validity, and other compliance obligations across projects — ensure renewals aren't missed

B. New Project Analysis (Pre-Bid)

- Analyze upcoming tenders (CPWD, IRCON, state PWDs, etc.) — technical eligibility, BOQ review, GCC/SCC risk clauses, payment terms, price variation formula
- Prepare a risk assessment note for management before bid decision — onerous clauses, liquidated damages exposure, defect liability terms, arbitration clause, unusual conditions
- Benchmark new tender terms against ATIPL's existing project experience (similar projects, past issues faced)
- Coordinate with estimation team to ensure commercial bid accounts for contractual risk (escalation clauses, retention, mobilization advance terms)
- Recommend go/no-go input to management based on contractual risk-reward assessment

C. Reporting & MIS

- Monthly consolidated contract status report to Director — covering all live projects, pending claims/EOTs, variation approvals, upcoming tender pipeline
- Maintain a claims/variation register with financial exposure quantified per project
- Escalate high-risk items (potential disputes, client payment delays, LD exposure) proactively

Preferred candidate profile

Candidate Requirements

- B.E./B.Tech (Civil) + preferably PG in Construction Management/Contracts Law
- 8–12 years' experience in contract management for EPC/highway/infrastructure projects
- Robust working knowledge of MoRTH/IRC codes, CPWD GCC, EPC contract conditions
- Experience handling multiple concurrent projects from a head-office/corporate role (not just single-site)
- Strong drafting skills for contractual correspondence and claims
