Buyer Relations

Recykal seeks an experienced and result-driven Buyer Relations professional to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and expanding our network of metal scrap buyers, driving platform adoption, and ensuring seamless transactional experiences on Recykal's Open Marketplace Platform. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commodity (metal) trading, deep knowledge of the metal scrap ecosystem, and a proven ability to onboard buyers onto digital procurement platforms.

Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Identify, onboard, and manage a strong network of metal scrap buyers including recyclers, re-rollers, smelters, and end-use industries.
Build and nurture long-term relationships with buyers to drive repeat transactions and platform loyalty.
2. Understand buyer requirements in terms of scrap grades, volumes, frequency, and pricing benchmarks, and align them with available supplier inventory.
3. Drive adoption of Recykal's digital platform among buyers

4. ensuring smooth onboarding, training, and continued engagement.
5. Analyze market trends, scrap pricing movements, and demand patterns to provide timely insights and recommendations to buyers.
6. Collaborate with the Supplier Relations team to ensure optimal Supplier-Buyer matching and fulfillment.
7. Resolve buyer queries, complaints, or disputes related to quality, delivery timelines, or contractual terms in a timely manner.
8. Negotiate pricing, volumes, and terms of purchase agreements with buyers to maximize transaction value and platform GMV.
9.Meet monthly and quarterly targets for buyer onboarding, GMV, and transaction volume.

Skills Required:

1. Strong negotiation and deal-closing skills with a buyer-first mindset.
2.Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities across diverse buyer profiles.




3. Working knowledge of metal scrap grades, pricing indices, and quality standards.
4. Comfortable working with digital tools and platforms; ability to train and guide buyers through platform adoption.
5. Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to manage escalations independently.
6. Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

Qualifications:

1. B.Tech or MBA/PG with 3+ years of experience in commodity trading, preferably in ferrous and non-ferrous metals or metal scrap.
2. Prior exposure to digital marketplace platforms or B2B procurement technology is strongly preferred.
3.Sound understanding of scrap metal grades, market pricing dynamics, and quality assessment standards.
4. Existing network of buyers in the recycling, manufacturing, or metals industry is a significant advantage.
5. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple buyer accounts and priorities simultaneously.
