Chartered Accountant / Senior Accounts Executive

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced finance and audit professional to join our team in Kolkata. The ideal candidate will bring solid hands-on expertise in accounting, statutory compliance, audit, and financial reporting, and will be comfortable working independently as well as coordinating with cross-functional and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing
- Handle statutory compliance including GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9/9C), TDS computation and filing (24Q/26Q), and Income Tax Returns
- Support and coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits, including liaising with external auditors
- Prepare MIS reports, budget vs. actual analysis, and variance reporting for management
- Ensure accurate financial reporting in line with applicable accounting standards




- Assist in ROC filings and other regulatory/compliance requirements as applicable
- Supervise and guide junior accounts staff where required
- Handle vendor management, accounts payable/receivable, and bank reconciliations

Required Qualifications & Experience

- CA Inter with a minimum of 8 years of relevant post-qualification experience, OR
- CA Final (Qualified) with a minimum of 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience
- Prior experience in audit firms and/or industry accounting roles preferred
- Robust working knowledge of GST, TDS, and Income Tax compliance
- Proficiency in accounting software (Tally/SAP/similar ERP) and advanced MS Excel
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to Kolkata

Preferred Skills

- Experience with statutory and internal audits
- Exposure to financial modeling, MIS reporting, and process improvement
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
