Description Equinox Design Engineering India Pvt Ltd is a 100 subsidiary of Equinox Engineering Ltd Calgary-based EPCM firm We are the market leader in oil and gas processing specializing in facilities design implementation and operational assistance for natural gas conventional and heavy oil projects Our clients include several of the largest oil gas producers in Canada and worldwide and we are currently executing a wide range of sweet gas sour gas conventional oil heavy oil facility and pipeline projects Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Buyer Expeditor to join our Supply Chain team The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities expediting materials and equipment and ensuring on-time delivery to meet project requirements This individual will bring strong vendor management negotiation and organizational skills along with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced EPCM environment Key Responsibilities Lead the procurement process for assigned projects including preparing RFQs evaluating bids and issuing purchase orders Negotiate pricing terms and conditions with suppliers to secure the best value while maintaining quality and schedule Coordinate with project managers engineers and discipline leads to align material and equipment requirements with project deliverables Expedite vendor documentation equipment and materials to ensure timely delivery and compliance with project schedules Monitor supplier performance and proactively resolve delays quality concerns or commercial issues Maintain accurate procurement records tracking purchase orders shipping documents and delivery schedules Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships ensuring alignment with Equinox standards and project needs Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain group Mentor junior buyers expeditors as required Skills Knowledge and Expertise Strategic Procurement Purchasing RFQ development bid comparison and supplier selection Commercial negotiation pricing delivery terms contracts Strong understanding of Oil Gas materials equipment services Vendor documentation coordination and expediting Delivery tracking and schedule adherence Supplier performance monitoring and corrective action management Close coordination with Operations Engineering Project teams Purchase order PO administration and change management Compliance with company procurement policies standards Quality inspection and regulatory compliance awareness Cost control and value optimization Vendor relationship and supplier lifecycle management Procurement reporting and data accuracy Risk identification and issue resolution Mentoring and knowledge sharing with junior team members Continuous improvement in supply chain processes Strong communication and stakeholder management Education and Qualifications Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management Business or a related field 12 years of procurement and expediting experience preferably in an EPCM or oil gas environment SCMP designation or equivalent certification considered an asset Strong negotiation communication and vendor management skills Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven workplace Proficiency with procurement software and MS Office Suite Knowledge of international trade logistics and customs documentation an asset Equinox Success Statement Equinox consistently delivers focused and experienced premium teams custom-tailored with the best technical expertise to align seamlessly with client culture requirements Our commitment ensures the successful execution of projects on a repeatable basis About Equinox Engineering Ltd Established in 1997 Equinox is a distinguished EPCM service provider globally Our wide-ranging portfolio includes Sweet and Sour Gas Processing Facilities Heavy and Conventional Oil Production Steam Pipeline Systems and an increasing focus on sustainable energy solutions like Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage CCUS facilities and pipelines Renewable Natural Gas RNG projects and Landfill Gas LFG initiatives
