Enterprise Cloud Services ECS Delivery is a private cloud managed services provider who offers SAP applications in the HANA Enterprise Cloud Our team ECS Delivery Technical Operations is responsible for 24x7 operations of these business-critical SAP systems in the cloud We are looking for an experienced KVM and Linux System Administrator to join our ECS Techops Server Management team In this role you will be responsible for managing maintaining the Linux-based systems KVM virtualization infrastructure that supports our company s applications and services and its smooth 24 7 operations You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the highest level of performance security and availability across all systems Role Information Key Responsibilities KVM Virtualization Management Install configure and maintain KVM virtualization infrastructure for virtual machines and containers Perform capacity planning resource allocation and performance tuning for KVM environments Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to virtual machines networking and storage within KVM-based environments Linux System Administration Manage Linux servers ensuring they are optimized secure and reliable Perform routine maintenance including patch management software updates and system monitoring Troubleshoot and resolve Linux system-related issues including network storage and hardware Automation and Scripting Write and maintain automation scripts using tools such as Bash Python Ansible or similar Automate repetitive tasks system monitoring and reporting to streamline operations Security and Compliance Ensure the security of the virtualized environment by applying security patches configuring firewalls and implementing intrusion detection prevention systems Assist with security audits and compliance checks to meet organizational and regulatory requirements Monitoring and Performance Tuning Implement monitoring solutions for both virtual machines and physical servers Analyze system performance metrics and optimize resource utilization to maintain high availability Disaster Recovery and Backup Configure and maintain backup and disaster recovery strategies for both virtual and physical environments Test and validate disaster recovery procedures regularly OperationsSupport Operations 24 7 model with oncall on duty weekend tasks activities based on the shift schedule What you bringRole Requirements Qualifications 8 years of related professional experience Solid experience with Linux operating systems RHEL CentOS Ubuntu or similar Proven expertise in managing KVM virtualization technologies including the use of libvirt QEMU and related tools Experience with server hardware storage networking and virtualization management tools Proficient with scripting and automation tools e g Bash Python Ansible Familiarity with system monitoring tools such as Nagios Zabbix or Prometheus Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols TCP IP DNS DHCP etc Solid knowledge of security best practices for Linux systems and virtualization environments Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system and network issues Experience with cloud computing platforms AWS GCP Azure and hybrid cloud architectures is a plus Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a collaborative team environment Preferred Qualifications Certification in Linux e g RHCSA RHCE or virtualization technologies e g KVM VMware Experience with container technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes Familiarity with configuration management tools like Puppet or Chef Soft Skills Analytical and Problem-Solving Exceptional ability to analyze complex issues identify root causes and implement effective solutions Communication Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences Documentation Ability to create clear concise and comprehensive
