IDC Global Pvt Ltd is headquartered in Bangalore India and is a company originally established in 2016 As part of its portfolio of brands the company has multiple brands namely Magari Yavanika Treelight Design Magari Yavanika are currently present in Bangalore and Hyderabad with each store being over 10 000 sqft and are going to continue to expand its presence across the country Magari currently retails Furniture Kitchens Wardrobes and also has Fabric Furnishings in its stores retailed under the name of Yavanika Treelight Design is amongst the leading Architecture Interior Design firms in the country who s projects range across residential commercial hospitality F B and retail We are looking for a creative and motivated Furniture Design Intern to join our team The ideal candidate will have a passion for design a strong understanding of current trends and a willingness to learn As an intern you will assist in creating new collections improving existing designs and contributing to the overall design process This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience and work closely with experienced designers in a agile and creative environment Roles and Responsibility Work with the production team to ensure designs are practical and can be made using current manufacturing processes Help come up with new furniture design ideas and work with senior designers to refine and improve them This includes making rough sketches Use design software like CAD to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings of furniture designs for prototyping Help build and test prototypes to check if the design works well and is comfortable then provide feedback for improvements Research and choose the right materials fabrics and finishes for furniture making sure they meet design and quality standards Keep track of the latest trends in furniture design materials and technology to keep designs fresh and up-to-date Assist in preparing design presentations including visuals prototypes and documentation to clearly communicate ideas to clients Requirements Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Furniture Design Industrial Design or a related field Strong knowledge of design software AutoCAD Rhino Photoshop SolidWorks etc Creative with the ability to think outside the box and contribute to innovative design concepts Excellent attention to detail especially when preparing technical drawings Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment Interest in learning about materials production processes and design trends Good multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once Eagerness to learn and adapt to new challenges and tasks Previous experience or internships in design or furniture-related fields are a plus but not required Job Type Internship Contract length 6 months Pay 6 000 00 - 8 000 00 per month Schedule Day shift
