Position Liaison Officer - Mining Projects Employment Type Full time Reporting To Project Manager Head of Operations Openings One position per state Work Locations Andhra Pradesh Thamballapalle Annamayya District Iron Ore Block Karnataka KGF Kolar District Graphite Block Role Overview The Liaison Officer will act as the primary interface between mining operations and government authorities The role involves managing land acquisition statutory approvals regulatory compliance and coordination with local stakeholders to ensure smooth execution of mining projects in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh Key Responsibilities Government Regulatory Liaison Act as the single point of contact with State Mining Departments Department of Mines Geology District Collectors Tahsildars Forest Department and other local authorities Coordinate approvals related to land acquisition forest clearance environmental permissions and statutory mining compliances Land Acquisition Local Coordination Manage land procurement processes under applicable Land Acquisition Acts Negotiate with landowners resolve disputes and obtain Gram Sabha approvals Ensure accurate documentation and timely completion of land-related formalities Statutory Permissions Compliance Prepare and submit Mining Plans to IBM and coordinate approvals Obtain and track licenses permissions including explosives licenses groundwater clearances Pollution Control Board consents and DGMS compliances Ensure compliance with MMDR Act 1957 and relevant State Mining Rules Utilities Infrastructure Coordinate approvals for power connections railway sidings diesel storage and other infrastructure requirements Reporting Monitoring Track progress of all approvals and clearances proactively flag delays and risks Maintain records of royalties ad valorem payments and statutory filings Submit periodic progress reports to management Qualifications Experience Graduate BA B Sc LLB preferred 5-10 years of liaison experience in mining or infrastructure projects preferably in Karnataka or Andhra Pradesh Strong knowledge of MMDR Act 1957 State Mining Rules IBM and DGMS procedures and local land laws Retired Revenue Officers Tahsildars from the concerned states will also be considered Job Types Full-time Permanent Work Location In person
